RILEGATURA SEMPLICE A 3 BUCHI | SIMPLE 3 HOLES BOOKBINDING
01. PREPARAZIONE DEI MATERIALI | PREPARATION OF MATERIALS
a. Con matita e righello segnare due punti sui lati lunghi del cartoncino in corrispondenza della metà (cm. 14,85) e con la matita tracciare una linea che unisca i due punti. Using pencil and ruler, mark two dots on the long sides of the cardboard at the middle (14,85 cm.) and with the pencil draw a line that connects the two dots.
b. Passare la pieghetta sulla riga tracciata. Pass the bookbinding folder on the drawn line.
c. Piegare il cartoncino a metà senza forzare troppo e passare il pollice sulla lunghezza in modo da piegarlo del tutto. Fold the cardboard in half without straining too much and pass the thumb over the length so as to fold it completely.
d. La piega del cartoncino con l’aiuto della pieghetta. Refine the fold of the cardboard with the help of the bookbinding folder.
e. Piegare i fogli a metà e passare la pieghetta. Fold the sheets in half and pass the bookbinding folder.
f. Prendere un foglio piegato a metà e con la matita segnate sulla piega queste misure: cm. 3, cm. 10,5 e cm.3. Take a sheet folded in half and using the pencil mark on the fold these measures: 3 cm., 10.5 cm. and 3 cm.
g. Prendere il foglio su cui sono state segnate le misure, posizionarlo sopra gli altri fogli (1, massimo due per volta) e con il punteruolo procedere a fare i buchi. Durante questo passaggio è consigliabile mettere una pezzo di cartoncino pressato come base, in modo da agevolare la foratura. Fare attenzione a posizionare bene il foglio su cui si sono prese le misure, aiutarsi piegando verso l'interno i fogli. Fare la stessa cosa per il cartoncino colorato della copertina. Take the sheet on which you have marked these measurements, place it over the other sheets (1, maximum two at a time) and proceed with making the holes with the punch. Help yourself in this step by putting a piece of pressed cardboard under the sheets. Take care to position well the sheet on which you have taken the measurements, help yourself by folding the sheets towards you. Same thing should be done for colored cardboard.
h. La misura di filo necessaria è n.2 volte la lunghezza del lato lungo del foglio. Inserite l’ago nel filo lasciando un po’ di filo dietro la cruna. The required wire size is 2 times the length of the long side of the sheet. Insert the needle into the thread leaving a little thread behind the eye of the needle.
02. RILEGATURA | BOOKBINDING
a. Prendere i fogli bucati e posizionarli sopra la copertina in modo che tutti i fori fatti con il punteruolo si sovrappongano bene. Entrare con ago e filo nel buco centrale dall’interno, uscite verso l’esterno e rientrate dall’altro buco. Get the papers, previously perfored by the awl, place them over the cover. Enter with needle and thread in the central hole from the inside, exit outwards and come back from the other hole.
b. Una volta rientrati, passare ago e filo all’interno del buco attraverso il quale non siete ancora passati e una volta usciti fuori, ripassare per il buco centrale, andando verso l’interno. Once you are back in, pass needle and thread through the hole through which you have not yet passed and once you have come out, go through the central hole, going inwards.
c. Chiusura della rilegatura: tirare bene il filo (bloccando con l’altra mano) e con l’ago passare sotto il filo del dorso del taccuino, tirare il filo e fare un semplice nodo Closing the binding: with one hand pull the end of the thread with the needle and with the other hand hold the other end of the thread. Then, with the needle go under the thread, pull the thread and make a simple knot.
d. Assicurarsi di aver fatto un nodo ben stretto, tagliare il filo. Make sure you have made a tight knot, cut the thread.
